The cumin belongs to the parsley plants. The plant is about 50 cm pile of wooly leaves and small white or pink flowers. The fruit is reminiscent of cumin but is slightly longer. Just as in the cumin, it is only the fruits used. The spice can be used both whole and the ground. It is an aromatic spice with a little nutty feature. To reinforce the taste, the seeds can be roasted for a while in the frying pan before use. The cumin is included in many spice mixes such as curry, chili powder and Garam Masala. The cumin fits well to Indian and Mexican dishes. Do not confuse the cumin with the cumin having a completely different taste.
