Zoégas

Zoégas coffee trade was established in 1881 in Landskrona by the Scanian Carlos (Carl) Zoéga, who returned the year before from Brazil with coffee worth 6000 SEK in his luggage. In 1885, he married the photographer Maria Tufvesdotter Thunell, and the following year they moved the business to a shop at Kullagatan 27 in Helsingborg, where they obtained both housing and a roastery, under the name Helsingborgs Patent-Kaffe-Ångbränneri.
