Clothing are the dried flower buds from a about 10 meter high trees. The leaves are elliptical, shiny green and aromatic. The white pink flowers' buds are harvested before they have knocked out and then they are dried and then become hard and brown-black. The spice is used worldwide and is mainly very popular in China. Often it is used in meat dishes and to flavor rice. Cloves are often included in different spice mixes such as Curry, Garam Masala and the Chinese five spices (Szechuan peppers, star anise, cinnamon, cloves and fennel seeds). The clove has an intense aroma and should therefore be used with some caution. It fits well to pork, game, soups, marinades, fruit and in different inlays. For Christmas, we associate the clove mainly with gingerbread and mulled wine.
